I'm glad i got to meet Sam and Jia Yin even if it was for a very short time.
Two of the sweetest and mostest soft-spoken designers i have ever met. :)

Zain has now been walking for a couple of months.....he loves it alot....
Here's an update from his mamma's blog that she's written to him, i thought i might as well add in since his mama writes so well :
Your favourite word is GAK Goooo, which is Zain for Let's Go. You mew like a cat so convincingly with a soft, sweet owwwww, especially since I haven't heard a cat actually say MIAOW. Your first word was Mamma (hehe) but you can also call Baba now, as you excitedly look for him. You can point to your ears, mmmm like a cow, point to Elmo, laugh on cue, cup your hands in doa, clap like there's no tomorrow, leave teeth marks in my arm, put your hands up, show one finger when we ask how old you are, comb your hair, say 'book', point to cats and birds in your books, kiss, blow flying kisses, kick and throw a ball, give atok high-fives, show me your tongue, wave goodbye, nod yes, shake your head when we say Laillahaillallah, and brighten any crummy day with a smile.
Here are some pix of Zain and us at the airport picking my dad up last Sunday. And also some of him reading.

Our dear friend Brig turned 40 last Sunday (13th April) and we had the honor of spending most of the day with her. At 10am we picked her up and went for a birthday breakfast at Simpang Bedok no less, where we had roti prata's and teh and of course PRESENTS! i got brig a jewellery dish and Joakim made a painting for her......
After breakfast we were off to Changi Beach, mat and snacks in hand to chill and watch the planes go by (frightfully close over our heads), during which we decided that it was a perfect day for a dip in the sea, so we were off again to my house to get swimming gear and supplies.
We then headed over to the quiet bit of East Coast beach to swim the the warm waters with Riz and Ruby too....it's been ages since i've swum in the sea and actually the first time i've ever been in the sea with Joakim ever! Of course we sooooo had to end the day with unhealthy greasy Mc Donalds - and the day ended with us driving through and stuffing our faces with yummy burgers and fries!
Pretty gd day i must say and i'm so happy i got to celebrate Brig's birthday with her.
Happy B'day my beautiful Brig.... Love you.

It feels like just yesterday when kak Az brought wrinkly little zain home and now (17th March) Zain turn the BIG ONE! His jungle themed b'day party was held on the 29th of March at the NSRCC Bungalow..with loads and loads of yummy food!
Mum made his cute bear birthday cake that looked as good as it tasted!
I was game coordinator, we played treasure hunt (looking for tiny plastic animals that were hidden around the compound), pass the parcel, freeze, Piñata smashing! (i swear the kids have anger management issues......they took it out really gd on the monkey Piñata), pin the tail on the donkey and "Zain" say's (which is a Simon Say's rip off).
Joakim illustrated his Swinging Safari Invitation. Isn't it perfect! Thanks hun!
Here are some photos of all his little cute friends and family that were at his party.
Roar!!!! Love you my Naneee Noooony!!
