White Kitchens

We are planning on redoing the kitchen and have been looking around trying to get some inspiration for the white country kitchen look we're going for. I especially love the sweet simplicity of the kitchen with the yellow flowers. :) Perfect.

Going to the ZOO - Zain's 1st B'day

Its Zain's 1st B'day and we're spending a day at the Zoo! It was Zain and Joakim's first time to the zoo and they both enjoyed it just as much! Although Zain was asleep a part of the trip i think he must have found it really exciting to have so much space to run about! His favourite bit was the water playground ... and my favourite bit were the girrafes and the pony that zain thought was a cow...moo....

Happy birthday our darling zain...we love you to bits!

Hope Villages - Give Hope

Hope Villages Fund is a not-for-profit organisation based in Singapore dedicated to improving the livelihood of the underprivileged in Asia. Set up by a team of professionals from various fields, Hope Villages Fund was inspired two years ago through several visits made to Phum Trea – an impoverished village located in Cambodia along the banks of the Mekong River in Cambodia.

Ceramic Heaven

These are by ceramicists Sandra Haischberger in Vienna of Feinedinge.

I especially love the moonstruck lamp that creates brilliant patterns of light when turned on :)

french paper and pop ink

I love these items from frenchpaper Decor-a-Board ready-to-hang, scallop-edged pieces, printed digitally with seven different designs. The boards are made using unfinished birch & MDF, manufactured from recycled wood and unused parts of lumbered trees.

Also above are the gorgeous melamine printed plates by popink.

zain now walks with no help from big peoples. And he moos too! my perfect nephew.

Off To The Botanic Gardens We Go!

On Friday we brought mamma and Bernt to the Botanic Gardens. It's so much more beautiful and interesting than i've ever remembered it to be! Like a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Mum used to take us to the botanic gardens when we were young. I'm proud to say that i'm my mother's daughter and have adopted a huge love of plants.

It's now top of my "favourite places in Singapore" list. I've promised myself that'll i'd go back there alone one day with my plant book and explore. There's just something special being around plants. Makes you feel present.
